Election Defenders Postcard Campaign
Why sending postcards to our Election Defenders matters
State, Federal, and local government election officials, judges, and lawyers play a vital role in upholding the our rights for free and fair elections, protecting constitutional rights, and ensuring that our votes are cast and counted in a just manner — even when doing so is difficult or unpopular.
In times of heightened political pressure, election professionals often face criticism, intimidation, or isolation simply for carrying out their responsibilities with integrity. Most of the feedback they receive comes when someone is angry or dissatisfied with their actions. Messages of public support are rare and welcome.
A postcard does not advocate for a particular outcome or decision. It affirms something more fundamental: the importance of independence, fairness, and adherence to election law and our constitution..
Visible expressions of public appreciation remind these Election Defenders that their work is valued and that the principles they uphold matter to the communities they serve. This kind of support helps reinforce professional courage, strengthens institutional independence, and contributes to a healthier democracy.
Sometimes the simplest actions such as a handwritten note, a message of thanks, can help sustain the institutions that protect everyone’s rights.

What do I write?
It’s best to make your message personal and specific to the work of the person you are addressing.
Feedback from one of the Recepients. "The children's drawings and crayon images were great!"
If possible, mention a ruling, case, or public statement that inspired you. A few sincere lines of gratitude are more powerful than long printed messages. Handwritten notes stand out — keep it short, kind, and genuine.
