ABOUT OUR CAMPAIGN “PROTECT THE ELECTIONS”
Townsquare Democracy is focusing on protecting fair and free elections in 2026 — not candidates, not outcomes — but process integrity.
Our goal is simple: strengthen public understanding of how elections work, support election officials, and reinforce lawful certification procedures.
There are five areas where we’re concentrating:
First, public education.
Most confusion happens because people don’t understand how ballots are counted or certified. We will host short forums explaining the process, partner with lawyers for clarity, and distribute one-page explainers. If you can host a living-room conversation or help distribute materials, we need you.
Second, supporting election officials and poll workers.
They are public servants under real pressure. We’re considering a nonpartisan appreciation postcard campaign and encouraging community members to sign up as official poll workers. If you’re willing to write postcards or volunteer, that’s concrete help.
Third, legal and institutional reinforcement.
We’re working with the Bar Association to bring lawyers into our March 23 event and Law Day on May 1. If you know attorneys or can help with drafting clear public materials, that’s valuable.
Fourth, building a rapid information network.
We need trusted community members who can share verified election information and correct misinformation calmly and factually. If you’re willing to serve as a neighborhood information contact, sign up.
Finally, Law Day — May 1.
We will support the Bar Association’s efforts and help with outreach and logistics. This is about visible, professional defense of the rule of law.
Our principles are firm: nonpartisan, process-focused, fact-based, institutional.
