Health & Science
The Health and Science Working Group is a joint project of Town Square for Democracy and Indivisible SF, a San Francisco-based chapter of the national organization. We are Bay Area residents – scientists, clinicians, public health advocates and the general public – concerned about unprecedented attacks on health and science, including cuts in research funding, dismantling of science institutions, removal of experts from federal advisory committees, and funding cuts to science-based services and strategies affecting health and the environment.
Our goals:
Build community knowledge about threats to health and science.
Work with individuals and organizations across the Bay Area to strengthen the community of health and science advocates and activists, locally and beyond.
Reverse and resist attacks on science and health, and build/rebuild institutions and funding as needed.
